Towards the end of the last century, Joseph Hipp (1867-1926), originally from Günzburg on the Danube, worked in Pfaffenhofen, in a confectionery and candle-making shop which he acquired a little later. In 1897, he marries Maria Ostermayer.

In the middle of the 20th century, Georg Hipp, one of Joseph's sons, according to American standards, decided to enter the industrial production of baby food using natural methods, that is, without the use of chemical fertilizers.

Georg HiPP was an ardent supporter of the philosophy of the Swiss physician Dr. Hans Müller, who developed the idea of ​​organic production and had the deep conviction that organic farming is the healthiest for babies.

Thus, he converted the family farm, located between Pfaffenhofen & Ehrensberger Hof, into a vegetable production farm based on the requirements of organic farming. After the death of Georg HiPP in 1967, his son Claus took over the management of the business who devoted himself to the idea of ​​organic production and developed it step by step.

Being pioneer in organic farming, Claus HiPP started talking to other farmers about organic farming (he visited each farm individually), trying to convince the farmers of his ideas. Gradually and after many efforts, he managed to get the farmers on his side and develop, on a contract basis, a network of organic producers who were and are all linked by contract and follow the rules of organic fruit, vegetable and meat production.
