Herbal hair dyes: Nature's care for beautiful hair

Herbal hair dyes: Nature's care for beautiful hairphoto

Choosing the right hair dye is a matter of health and no longer of appearance. Unlike the chemical hair dyes of the past, the new natural ones contain few or no dangerous ingredients while their result is stable, shiny and perfectly covers even white hair.

How good are vegetable dyes?

Organic dyes give strong hair with a rich color that shines with health and beauty, which is why more and more women are choosing them. Plant dyes are usually powder from crushed plants and nowadays have both the durability and color effect we desire without the dangerous elements of chemical dyes.

The most important thing is that they can be used in times when women need it the most, such as pregnancy and lactation, always after the approval of your gynecologist.

At the same time, vegetable dyes no longer require a long preparation and application time, which is what modern working women want. And as far as the variety of colors is concerned, vegetable dyes can cover a wide range of shades.

What are the ingredients in hair dyes to avoid?

Ammonia: It is an alkaline agent that is used in order to open the "scales" of the hair and allow the dye to penetrate. Research has shown that its use burdens the respiratory system. At the same time, its long-term use affects the elasticity and shine of the hair.

Alcohol: Alcohol is used as an ingredient in many hair products especially as a preservative to prevent germs from growing. However, alcohol can cause scalp irritation.

Paraphenylenediamine- PPD: It is the main allergenic substance in hair dye products. Long-term effects can be asthma, lupus, Non Hodgkin's lymphoma, while there are also indications of a connection with breast, uterus and bladder cancer.

Parabens: These are preservatives used not only in dyes, but also in a wide range of cosmetics to prevent the growth of bacteria. These mimic the action of estrogen and their use has been linked to an increased risk of breast cancer. On the labels you will find them with the names methyl paraben, isobutyl paraben, propyl paraben, ethyl paraben, butyl paraben, and as E216. The new vegetable dyes do not contain parabens.

Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulfate/SLS/SLES: Although its original origin is from coconut, the process it undergoes appears to contaminate it with a carcinogenic byproduct – 1,4 dioxane which researchers have linked to skin and eye irritation, endocrine and reproductive disruption system, poisoning of the various organs, mutations and changes at the cellular and biochemical level.

Resorcinol: According to the EU, it must not exceed specific safety limits, as it irritates the eyes and the skin, while it is also dangerous for the environment. Recommended to be avoided, especially by pregnant women.

Silicone compounds: Non-water soluble are considered harmful to the health of the hair, because they dry the hair.

Korres Dye ARGAN OIL Advanced Coloran

The Argan Oil Advanced Colorant permanent dye offers 100% coverage of white and gray hair, long-lasting and bright color, while at the same time it intensively cares and protects the hair from damage. Designed with pigment-lock technology that locks the color into the hair without use of ammonia. A controlled oxidation mechanism allows the micro-pigments to easily enter the hair due to their very small size. Inside, they turn into large pigment molecules, which are trapped, offering intense color that does not fade.

Argan oil and vegetable keratin, acting on the deeper layers of the hair, replenish the necessary structural elements, restore hydration levels and protect against damage, especially with repeated use. Oat extract, rich in vitamins of the B complex and trace elements, forms a protective film around the hair, increasing its strength and elasticity. No Ammonia, PPD, Parabens, Silicones, Mineral Oil, Resorcinol.

Phyto Herbal Dye with Pigmented Plant Extracts

BioNike Shine On, Hair Dye, Ideal for Covering White Hair

Thanks to the presence of special active ingredients, SHINE ON ensures not only a high-performance coloring of the hair, but at the same time, protects its structure, leaving it, after each application, shiny, nourished and restructured. In fact, the CREAM DYE composition has been enriched with hydrolyzed Rice Proteins, Phystosterols from Brassica campestris and Decylene Glycol.

Ingredients:

Hydrolyzed Rice proteins: composed of low molecular weight peptides, they have a membrane-forming action on the hair cuticle with protective, moisturizing and restorative effects.

Phystosterols from Brassica campestris: substances of lipid nature, structurally similar to cholesterol, are special components with antioxidant activity. Used in hair dyes, they calm the aggressive action of the basic oxidizing environment, reducing the harmful effects on the skin.

Decylene glycol: a multifunctional ingredient, and with a moisturizing effect, it facilitates the rinsing of the dye mixture and allows a more effective removal of intermediates that do not react. Shine On is a home dye of high tolerance, ideal for covering white hair, changing or to enliven the natural color of the hair.

Strengthen the color of the vegetable dye, with the necessary products:

Quite importantly, the almost sibling of the vegetable dye is also a product that will help you maintain the color tone like the deep moisturizing oil Phyto Huiles D'Ales

After dyeing, also strengthen hair care: Frequent dyeing, even with herbal products, can leave your hair dehydrated. Coupled with seasonal shedding, hair is likely to look thin and limp. Take hair care into your own hands. After dyeing, wash your hair well with the right shampoo such as  KORRES Shampoo with Sunflower & Mountain Tea or Frezyderm Color Protect Shampoo.

Immediately after, "lock in" your new color, with the care mask specially for dyed hair that will take care of the color and quality of the hair and make your hair look freshly dyed for longer like the mask Rene Furterer Okara Masque or h Phyto Phytomillesime Masque Sublimateur De Couleur
Finally, complete the care of the hair after dyeing, with the appropriate conditioning cream for dyed hair that will leave the hair soft from the root to the ends, which suffer more from dyeing. Try her Klorane Creme De Jour Sans Rincage A La Grenade.
