Green propolis comes from the plant Baccharis dracunculiforia which grows as a pest only in Brazil. Its action is due to a complex of substances and mainly to the substance Artepiline C.
 In European Propolis we have more flavonoids (20-30%) while green propolis is dominated by phenolic substances.

You have surely heard about propolis. You may not know that there is not only one propolis but there are different ones in both color and activity, depending on the plants the bee visits. But let's look at things from the beginning.

What is propolis?
 The word propolis comes from the Greek words "pro" and "city", which means a substance that is placed before the entrance of the city (hive) for the defense of the bee.
 Propolis is harvested by specialized workers, on the hottest days of the day visiting plants rich in resinous, filling and balsamic substances. Using their jaws, they detach it in small pieces from the buds of the plants. After processing these substances using various secretions of their glands, they place it in the pollen boxes on their hind legs. They transfer it to the hive and use it directly in various tasks inside the hive.
 Depending on the chemical composition of propolis, its physical characteristics also vary, such as: its color, aroma, taste and composition. Its color varies: from yellow, orange, green, (Brazilian propolis), to brown and black (European propolis).

How is green propolis different?

Also another ingredient found exclusively in green propolis is compounds of p-coumaric acid.

INGREDIENTS: Green propolis (at least 30%) and Alcohol.

Use according to the doctor's instructions or as follows:
Adults:
 12-25 drops 2-3 times a day in water or fruit juice.

Children under 12 years: 7 drops dissolved in water or fruit juice 2 times daily.

Green propolis from the evidence to date does not cause an allergic reaction (unlike the European one) but it is better not to take it if you are allergic to propolis.
