The active ingredients of garlic belong to a class of sulfates, the most important of which is alliin, which is converted to allicin during the chewing of garlic. Allicin gives garlic its characteristic odor, and is believed to be the compound responsible for the beneficial properties of garlic.
Lamberts 8250mg Garlic contains high-strength garlic tablets that have been formulated to:
• ensure the activity of allicin
• reduce the smell of garlic by using a special coating on the tablet
Each tablet provides garlic levels equivalent to 8250mg of fresh garlic, with an allicin content of 5500μg. The garlic used in the preparation of the tablets is significantly closer to the nutritional profile of natural, raw garlic compared to some low-priced garlic products on the market. Like all Lamberts formulations, it is manufactured in the United Kingdom according to the strict standards of the Pharmaceutical GMP.
