For nasopharyngeal swab completely insert the sterile swab provided in this kit into the nasal cavity and rub several times to collect epidermal mucus cells.
TEST
Allow the test, specimen and buffer to come to room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.
Remove the test device from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible. Place the tester on a clean and flat surface. The best results will be obtained if the test is performed immediately after opening the case.
Take out the buffer bottle, remove the bottle cap, add all the buffer to the extraction tube.
Place the smear specimen in the buffer. Rotate the swab for about 10 seconds while pressing the head inside the tube.
Remove the swab while pressing the sterile swab head into the buffer to expel as much fluid as possible. Dispose of the swab according to the disposal protocol.
Screw the cap tightly onto the sample collection tube, then vigorously shake the collection tube to mix the sample and buffer.
Add 3 drops of solution to the sample port of the device and then start timing. Read the result in 15 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
Positive: Two red lines appear. A red line appears in the control region (C) and a red line in the test region (T). It is considered positive, even if the line is faint.
Negative: Only one red line appears in the control area (C) and no line in the test area (T).
Cancel: No red line appears in the control area (C). The test is invalid even if there is a line in the test area (T). Insufficient sample quantity or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line failure.
