Description

Strataderm® is a rapidly self-setting, non-sticky, transparent silicone gel for the treatment of old and new scars.

Strataderm® is used to prevent and treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scars.

When used correctly, Strataderm® stabilizes to form a silicone sheet, a protective layer that is permeable to gases and waterproof. It Strataderm® hydrates and protects your scar from chemical and microbial invasion, allowing the scar tissue to normalize its collagen synthesis cycle, creating a normal, mature scar.

Strataderm® is used to:

To soften and smooth the scars
To relieve the itching and discomfort of scars
To reduce redness and discoloration associated with scars.

Strataderm® was developed for use on all types of scars, including those caused by: general surgery, injuries, chronic wounds, burns, bites, acne and other skin diseases.

The 2002 International Clinical Guidelines for Scar Management stated that “silicone gel should be used as first-line therapy in the initial management of scars and in the prevention of hypertrophic scars and keloids.”1

Use

The minimum duration of treatment with Strataderm® should be 60-90 days (24/7). Larger and older scars may take longer. Continued use is required until no further improvement is observed.

Strataderm® is effective on all skin types.
Strataderm® is suitable for children. It is completely biocompatible and intended for use by children as well as people with sensitive skin.
