Solgar® Folacin (Folic Acid) 400 µg, also known as Vitamin B9, is involved in many body processes, but is more famous for strengthening maternal tissue during pregnancy. Folic acid is a supplement recommended for use by pregnant women and women trying to conceive. It is found in a variety of foods, such as dark green leafy vegetables, but it is recommended to take supplements to ensure adequate levels of intake, especially before and after conception. Low levels of folic acid have been shown to be a risk factor for neural tube defects in fetal development.
