Smile B12 60 Caps

Dietary supplement with vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) which aims to supplement the daily needs of B12 in the blood after oral administration.

It does not contain additives, flavor enhancers or other coloring agents.

In addition to vitamin B12, it also contains rice husk powder, so that it can be encapsulated and the capsule is vegetable (Vegan).

Why Smile B12?

Smile B12 uses the methylcobalamin which is a natural form of vitamin B12 that can be obtained through supplements as well as food sources such as fish, meat, eggs and milk. In contrast to the Cyanocobalamin used by most food supplements which is prepared in laboratories.

Also, Methylcobalamin is the form of vitamin B12 that is easiest for the body to use. It is harder to find and more expensive.

Vitamin B12 contributes to:
  • In its normal function nervous system
  • In normal psychological function
  • In the normal formation of red blood cells
  • In the normal functioning of the immune system
  • In the normal metabolism of homocysteine
  • To reduce fatigue and tiredness
  • In the normal process of cell division and the metabolic processes associated with it energy produce

The following factors represent the main causes of vitamin B12 deficiency:
  1.     Malfunction, irritation, inflammation of the stomach epithelium lead to a deficiency of the endogenous factor. Also gastritis, Crohn's disease, chronic enteritis, chronic diarrhea and pancreatic disease affect and cause the lining of the stomach to become abnormal so it does not produce enough transport protein or stomach acid. The usefulness of vitamin B12 is then limited or partially no longer possible. The same applies to a disorder or inflammation of the mucous membrane of the small intestine. This can significantly reduce the absorption potential of cobalamin. People with damage or inflammation in the stomach or intestinal lining of the small intestine can suffer from severe vitamin B12 deficiency, even though their intake from food is usually adequate.
  2.     Eating foods that are not high enough in vitamin B12 (more common in vegetarians and vegans) – malnutrition.
  3.     Increased requirement of vitamin B12 caused by other factors such as, heavy metals, toxins, drugs and injuries.
  4.     (Partial) resection of the stomach as a result of an operation.
  5.     Age. Often, older people develop a weaker stomach epithelium. A vitamin B12 deficiency is usually the reason for fatigue, memory loss and depressed mood among the elderly.
  6.     Medication. Medications that contain estrogen-containing birth control and hormone supplements, diabetes medications (metformin), high blood pressure medications (ACE), heart arrhythmia medications (beta blockers, nitrate sprays, nitroglycerin), cholesterol-lowering medications (statins), and impotence treatments.
  7.     Liver disease (storage and transport problems).
Another aspect is that the initial symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency may resemble those of excessive fluctuations in blood sugar levels (nervousness, extreme hunger pangs, difficulty concentrating, aggression, irritability, sudden mood swings). This process also uses the trace elements manganese, chromium and zinc, along with the important magnesium, which in turn has an indirect negative effect on B vitamins. This is due to the important role they play in enhancing the use of B vitamins: the Manganese, for example, helps the processes of vitamin B1.
