Quest Folic Acid 400μg Dietary Supplement with Folic Acid Contributing to the Development of Maternal Tissue During Pregnancy 90tabs
Quest's Folic Acid food supplement provides 400μg of folic acid, which is the ideal amount for the period of pregnancy.
Folic acid contributes to the development of maternal tissue during pregnancy and therefore to the smooth development of the fetus. With the daily supplemental intake of 400μg of folic acid, its levels increase in the pregnant woman, thus avoiding low levels that are a risk factor for damage to the neural tube of the developing fetus. Taking a 400µg folic acid supplement is recommended for all pregnant women and women trying to conceive to ensure they get all the folate they need.
Folic acid also contributes to the reduction of fatigue, normal hematopoiesis and homocysteine metabolism which is essential for cardiovascular health. Folic acid converts homocysteine to methionine, so taking it as a supplement may be beneficial for people with elevated homocysteine who are trying to regulate it.
