Sferevit Iron & Vitamin C
The
sferevit IRON & C contains 30mg of highly bioavailable iron bisglycinate and 160mg of vitamin C in slow-release pellets. Iron bisglycinate is a form where the iron is surrounded by amino acids. These amino acids create a protective covering so that iron is not broken down in the stomach but is absorbed directly in the intestine. In this way unpleasant side effects such as constipation, nausea and stomach upsets are avoided. At the same time, iron bisglycinate is a neutral compound, that is, it does not carry an electrical charge, which does not create problems in the absorption of other nutrients, such as calcium, vitamin E or vitamin C. The slow-release pellets deliver small amounts of vitamin C to cover the body up to 12 hours, while also enhancing the absorption of dietary iron during the day.
