Hydrocotyl extract, known as Asian sentella (Gotu Kola), has traditionally been used by the ancient systems of traditional Indian medicine. It has a wide range of applications which have been recorded mainly in the Far East and India, while it continues to be one of the most popular herbs in "modern" botany.
Gotu Kola extract has the ability to strengthen the vascular walls by causing blood vessels to dilate, thus supporting the proper functioning of the circulatory system. In addition, it is considered useful for treating conditions of venous insufficiency (phlebitis, varicose veins, hemorrhoids).
Gotu Kola extract has also been linked to skin regeneration ability. The triterpenoid compounds of the herb help to provide increased blood flow to the cells, protecting them from possible inflammations and infections.
