Essentially, it is the amino acid that is found in the highest concentration in our body, with the highest concentrations found in the cells of the intestinal mucosa (where it is used for energy production) and in muscle tissue. It is often used for recovery by athletes, as intense training can deplete glutamine stores in the muscles.

Assimilation time: Less than 30 minutes
