Collagen Perfecting Complex
Lamberts Collagen Perfecting Complex is one
complex of hydrolyzed collagen type I and III peptides in combination with
silicon of vegetable origin, biotin and vitamin C.
The collagen peptides used in this formulation are a patented and clinically proven form of hydrolyzed porcine collagen called Verisol. In published clinical studies (1,2), the daily intake of 2,5g of Verisol collagen peptides was accompanied by
improve skin elasticity by 30% and
improving the appearance of wrinkles (reduction in number and depth of wrinkles) by 50%. The mechanism of action of hydrolyzed collagen peptides is indirect, i.e. it is not due to a direct replenishment of the collagen of the extracellular matrix.
Instead it seems to induce:
- through the stimulation of dermis fibroblasts and the increase in collagen and elastin production
- by inhibiting the action of the matrix metalloproteinases of the dermis
In addition to hydrolyzed collagen peptides, Lamberts Collagen Perfecting Complex contains:
- Silicon: Silicon plays an important role (structural and functional) in connective tissue, which is shown by the fact that the highest concentrations of silicon are found in organs rich in connective tissue, such as bones, skin and blood vessels. The silicon in this formulation is of vegetable origin (produced from Bamboo Gum (Bambusa arundinacea) extract).
- Vitamin C: Vitamin C is extremely important for skin health as it contributes to the normal formation of collagen in the protection of cells from oxidative stress*.
- Biotin: Although it is a B vitamin, the role of biotin is not limited to metabolism, but also extends to other physiological processes, such as the production of prostaglandins from the lipids of cell membranes. In this way it contributes to maintaining the normal condition of the skin *.
Collagen Perfecting Complex, like all Lamberts® products, is manufactured in the UK to strict Pharmaceutical GMP standards.
