Fortigel hydrolyzed collagen (fortigel bioactive peptides) is produced by the enzymatic hydrolysis of raw materials from collagen tissues. Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals. Its biosynthesis is achieved through a number of intracellular mediators. Typical collagen fibrils are formed in the extracellular space, are double-cross-linked with covalent bonds, and provide collagen with its characteristic elastic strength. The action of Fortigel comes from the normal amino acid sequence, every third amino acid building block, is a glycine molecule followed by proline or hydroxyproline.
